So, we officially have:
37 days until the 76th Golden Globes
57 days until the 25th Screen Actors Guild Awards
85 days until the 91st Academy Awards
And yet, none of them have confirmed hosts yet. I don’t think I’ve ever seen the potential of hosts being announced this late ever before…. the 2012 Oscars might be an exception.
WELCOME TO UNPREDICTABILITY.
OSCARS: FEB. 24

I questioned the same. It seems like these award giving bodies are struggling to find host(s) for the event. I have a feeling that their prospects are all saying “no.”December 1, 2018 at 10:43 am #1202686742
I just want Michelle Wolf to host the Oscars, that’s all. The perfect host for this #MeToo era and a politically savvy hosting choice after her iconic WHCD roasting work.December 1, 2018 at 11:17 am #1202686759
Aubrey Plaza for Indie Spirits. The only thing that matters.December 1, 2018 at 11:32 am #1202686764

I would love to see Graham Norton host the Oscars. Or Kirsten Wiig and Melissa McCarthy (if McCarthy doesn’t get a nom)December 1, 2018 at 7:33 pm #1202686998
Hopefully they bring in a new face rather than the same old names we are used to.December 1, 2018 at 7:44 pm #1202687003
I can’t be the only one who thinks Tiffany Haddish would be perfect for the Globes or the Oscars. She would definitely bring back the energy it’s been lacking!December 1, 2018 at 8:28 pm #1202687021
I’m going to keep banging this drum until ABC eventually makes it happens; get Tracee Ellis-Ross to hostDecember 1, 2018 at 8:35 pm #1202687024
Steve CarellDecember 1, 2018 at 9:12 pm #1202687037
With the current names flying around this thread, they might as well skip the host and just hand out the awards.
People have to be familiar with the host. The host is an important part of the ceremony.
