The technical aspect continues to impress, but I’m still bitter it won over Atlanta.December 5, 2018 at 10:04 pm #1202690527
I have seen until episode 6 so far. It’s still impressive and wonderful. I’m loving all the episodes. They are giving more material to Tony Shalhoub and Marin Hinkle. The Paris scenes were so gorgeous.December 5, 2018 at 11:04 pm #1202690547
The premiere seemed a bit tired. Tony Shalhoub might submit it though and it will keep their slot in costumes.

The season is fantastic BUT the ending and I literally mean the last 60 seconds of the final episode PISSED me offf. like WTF? Maybe I’m just confused. Midge has so much chemistry with Benjamin, Lenny Bruce and Joel AND that cynical British artist . The rate Midge is going, she gon kiLL poor old Abe and Rose. MOst HILLARIOUS part was when Susie walked out of Sophie Lenon’s mansion wearing that bear ( the mink coat). I need time to digest it but I just hope next season doesn’t get caught up in Midge and Joel and the surgeon, tbh Midge and Susie are fine on their own together I hope they don’t mess that relationship up.December 6, 2018 at 12:23 pm #1202691699
“Midnight at the Concord” was really awesome. Great episode for Rachel.December 7, 2018 at 4:25 pm #1202693729
LOVED this. Zoomed through all 10 episodes in three days. My favorite TV show of 2018. I’d say it’s even better than the first season. Alex Borstein was funnier than ever (standout in “Vote for Kennedy, Vote for Kennedy”), loved more screentime/storylines for Tony Shalhoub & Marin Hinkle (both exceptional in “Simone”), and Rachel Brosnahan was born to play this role (Emmy submission should be “Midnight at the Concord”). Absolute star!December 8, 2018 at 9:16 pm #1202694829
Marvelous season. I hated the last scene, but the finale was really impressive. “Simone”, ” We’re Going to the Catskills!”,”Midnight at the Concord” and “Vote for Kennedy, Vote for Kennedy” were my favorite episodes.
It was a terrific season for Alex Borstein and Tony Shalhoub, they are the MVP for me. Luke Kirby was great in the finale. Of course, Rachel still fantastic.December 9, 2018 at 12:28 am #1202694895
I haven’t seen season 2, but Luke Kirby appears to be guest eligible! I’m a huge fan of him, such an underpraised actor. Guest seems like an easy nomination for him.December 11, 2018 at 4:13 pm #1202698252
First episode was absolutely stunning. Could easily be a tape for any of Brosnahan, Shalhoub and Hinkle. All were knockouts.December 11, 2018 at 4:20 pm #1202698253
I’ve watched the first four episodes and I am in love with this show. They were all brilliant, especially the first two. I thought they were a lot more sophisticated and witty than the first season, which I also enjoyed, but not to the level of this season. I really hope they can keep it up.
I also especially hope Marin Hinkle can sneak in somewhere. She’s fantastic. And Shalhoub and Borstein already feel like more rounded characters than last season.December 12, 2018 at 9:43 am #1202699246
Borrowed my cousin’s login and watched: Benjamin is my favorite character on the show. This was easily my favorite season out of the two.

Betty Gilpin will probably be my Comedy Supporting Actress personal winner, but Alex Borstein gave her a real run for her money this season. God, she was phenomenal. If the Emmy goes to someone other than these two, it’ll be a crime.
Loved this season as it just completely grew upon the foundation laid in season one and expanded so many of the stories for supporting characters, while also pushing Midge’s story in a really authentic and thrilling way. The detour into the Catskills was absolutely delightful. It was very idyllic and almost impossible to believe, but the show sold the hell out of it. I didn’t love the developments in the finale, but I definitely liked Joel more as a character this season than last year. I thought Zachary Levi was a charming addition to the cast and would like to see him return, but I’m excited about Midge going on tour and what stories that may present, even if that means Benjamin isn’t around. Marin Hinkle came to play in that premiere episode and I loved getting more story for her to play with. I also liked Tony Shalhoub a lot more this season than last year, although he did revert back to his old ways by the end of this season. Rachel Brosnahan is still fantastic, what more can be said at this point? It was a beautiful, sharp, strong season and I’m looking forward to what is next.
